I tried the two different methods: restarting while holding option (it just restarts windows) and clicking on bootcamp in the bar but It says 'could not locate the OS x boot volume'.
If you put the script or an alias of it to ~/Library/Scripts and enable the Script Menu from Script Editor's preference you get an easy way to run it like with BootChamp. The windows is working great but I cannot get back to macos. You could skip the part about the password if you don't want to store your admin password in the script in plaintext. Hopefully this is a software quirk that will get. The Mac chimes 2-3 times, but never boots into Windows, instead going back to the Mac partition.

What I had to do was bless the HDD's EFI disk id with the -device switch, mount the BootCamp volume with the -mount switch and skip the -legacy switch. Bootcamp is supported on Intel Macs using Big Sur OS, but I cannot boot from the drive with this update - either via System Preferences selection or manual startup using the Option key during boot. Trying to bless the volume from an AppleScript did not work on my iMac with a 3TB fusion drive so rebooting after the bless would lead to an error screen "NO BOOTABLE DEVICE - INSERT BOOT DISC AND PRESS ANY KEY".

Hopefully, you will be presented with a boot menu asking you whether you would like to boot in Mac OS or Windows. You must have a full working windows 7 disc (Not OEM).ġ. Follow these instruction and I promise you your bootcamp will work again. Camptune X works very well however when you increase your partition size it corrupts the boot files for your bootcamp partition.ĭont wait for Paragon support to get back to you because they dont have the answer and wont get back to you. After many hours of googling and searching I have found the solution.
